Rose of Venus Mala

Rose of Venus Mala

$108.00

For the priestess, the mystic, the lover of beauty and the keeper of sacred mysteries — for the woman who understands that true transformation asks us to journey through both shadow and light.

The Rose of Venus Mala was inspired by one of the most beautiful celestial patterns in our solar system: the fivefold dance of Venus and Earth around the Sun.

Handcrafted with rich, dark 8mm Ebony Wood and gorgeous faceted Labradorite that flashes with blue light, this mala honors Venus not only as the goddess of love, beauty, and harmony, but as an archetype of transformation, descent, renewal, and feminine sovereignty.

At its heart hangs a beautiful gold-toned brass pendant featuring a five-petaled lotus and Moonstone, honoring the fivefold geometry of Venus. Faceted gold-plated hematite adds flashes of golden light throughout the design, while the traditional knotted ends are finished with sparkling 18K gold-plated cubic zirconia triangle charms.

Unlike my newer clasped malas, this piece is strung in the traditional manner and secured with a knotted finish, making it a beautiful companion for meditation, ritual, and devotional practice.

The design was inspired by the current Venus retrograde cycle — a celestial moment associated in astrology with the renewal of Venusian themes through the depths of the unconscious.

As Venus begins another retrograde journey, this mala becomes a reminder that our greatest gifts emerge from the places where we have been willing to transform.

The Sacred Geometry of Venus: 5 • 13 • 8 • 18

The numerology of this mala is not arbitrary. Each number honors the extraordinary relationship between Venus, Earth, and the Sun.

  • 5 — The Five-Petaled Rose: Over approximately eight Earth years, five Venus–Sun inferior conjunctions occur, tracing a beautiful fivefold pattern when their positions are connected around the zodiac. This pattern has inspired the modern spiritual symbolism of the Rose of Venus, the pentagram, and the sacred feminine.

  • 13 — The Dance of Venus: During this same period, Venus completes approximately thirteen revolutions around the Sun. Thirteen also carries associations with transformation, feminine mysteries, and the cycles of death and rebirth.

  • 8 — The Earthly Cycle: While Venus completes approximately thirteen solar orbits, Earth completes eight. This remarkable near-resonance allows the fivefold pattern of Venus conjunctions to return to nearly the same positions, creating the appearance of a celestial flower unfolding through time.

  • 18 — The Petals of Becoming: Approximately eighteen to nineteen months separate successive inferior conjunctions of Venus and the Sun. Each conjunction marks another point in the fivefold pattern, gradually revealing the full celestial rose over an eight-year cycle.

Labradorite: The Magic of Transformation

Few gemstones capture the mystery of hidden light quite like Labradorite.

A member of the feldspar family, Labradorite is celebrated for its extraordinary optical phenomenon known as labradorescence. As light interacts with microscopic internal structures within the stone, flashes of blue, green, gold, and sometimes violet seem to emerge from its otherwise dark surface.

These particular faceted beads reveal gorgeous flashes of electric blue — a beautiful contrast against the deep, polished black of the ebony wood.

In contemporary crystal traditions, Labradorite is associated with:

  • Transformation and spiritual awakening

  • Intuition and psychic perception

  • Energetic protection and shielding

  • Navigating periods of change

  • Shadow work and inner alchemy

  • Strengthening spiritual discernment

  • Discovering hidden gifts and possibilities

For me, Labradorite is a perfect companion for the Venus retrograde journey. Venus invites us to discover beauty and wisdom in the parts of ourselves we have yet to fully understand.

Ebony Wood: Rooted in the Mystery

Ebony is treasured for its rich, dark appearance, smooth texture, and remarkable density. Traditionally used in fine carving, sacred objects, and decorative arts, its deep coloring lends this mala an earthy, grounding presence.

Energetically, I associate ebony with protection, stability, inner strength, and the wisdom of the unseen.

It brings a beautiful balance to Labradorite, creating a mala that feels both deeply rooted and spiritually expansive.

The Five-Petaled Lotus and Moonstone

At the center of this mala rests a gold five-petaled lotus and Moonstone.

The lotus has long represented spiritual awakening, purity, and the unfolding of consciousness. Its five petals also honor the fivefold pattern of Venus, creating a beautiful bridge between celestial geometry and sacred symbolism.

Moonstone, another member of the feldspar family, is traditionally associated with intuition, lunar cycles, receptivity, emotional wisdom, and the Divine Feminine.

The sparkling triangular charms at the knotted ends offer a final touch of sacred geometry, recalling the triangle as a symbol of creation, integration, and the meeting of complementary forces.

Wear this mala for meditation, Venusian ritual, shadow work, spiritual contemplation, or as a beautiful reminder that transformation is part of the sacred dance of life.
